OK Clean Water Project’s Second Annual Fashion Show
The OK Clean Water Committee held its second annual Fashion Show at Shepherd’s in the Train Yards on April 29th. It was an evening filled with fun and socializing as everyone shopped and enjoyed the appetizers and wine prepared by the committee. It was a great success bringing in a profit of $3400 from ticket sales and a 10% donation from Shepherd’s on all merchandise purchased.Models for the evening were Denise Andre, Deanna Perry, Denise Blais, Gloria Purcell, and two from Shepherd’s each wearing casual and formal wear.
We are grateful to Pat Armstrong from Image Essentials for providing the makeup for the models. Elaine Charron led the models on stage giving interesting commentaries on the outfits worn by each. We are most grateful for the following who have provided support in the way of food donations, door prizes, and ongoing printing design advice and support- Eugene Milito from the Ottawa Catholic School Board for the Loblaw’s Gift Cards, Marco and Terra Sirotich from Casa Dei Panini for food trays and for being our barbeque sponsor, OK members for the food and drink, Stone Blossom Floral Gallery for their floral arrangement, Rogers Italian Bistro for their gift certificate and Shepherd’s Fashions for offering their venue, and a huge thank you to Stephanie Smith for coordinating the event.
A special thank you goes out to Elaine Nadeau for her ongoing support to OK through her design work. A thank you to all the OK committee members who provided the food- Jim and Rose Yan, Louise Garby, Kathy Monkman, Evelyn Musonge, and Maureen Ramsay. A special thank you to George Garby who provided the wine. It was a very successful and fun-filled evening. Thank you to the models, the sponsors and to all who attended to make this event such a success.
